The Heart Behind the Logo
My logo tells my story. It’s filled with symbols that reflect my faith, my family, and the causes close to my heart.
- The needle and teal thread represent how the business began—with sewing—and honor Tourette’s Syndrome Awareness, which is dear to me because of my son.
- The crown of thorns reminds me daily of the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made for us and how His hands have been on this business from the very beginning.
- The eucalyptus leaves and cotton bolls add that perfect touch of Southern charm.
- And the name itself—That’s Sew Southard—is a playful nod to our Southern roots and creative spirit.
From Sewing to Laser Engraving
As the business grew, I realized sewing wasn’t quite my forever path. I started experimenting with a Cricut machine and vinyl projects, but I wanted to create something more durable and professional. That’s when I discovered laser engraving—and I was hooked! I started with a small desktop diode laser and eventually upgraded to the CO₂ laser I use today. Each step has been guided by faith, hard work, and the belief that every season leads to something greater.
What I Value and Who I Serve
I am deeply rooted in my faith in God, love for my family, and pride in being an American. My mission is to use the talents God has given me to create something meaningful for others—whether it’s a personalized gift, a wedding keepsake, a business logo sign, or a family heirloom. Every product is handmade, personalized, and made with love right here in the USA.
My customers are as diverse as the gifts I make—brides, realtors, businesses, families, and thoughtful gift-givers who want something one-of-a-kind. Whether it’s a custom ornament, engraved cutting board, or home décor piece, my goal is always the same: to help people create lasting memories through heartfelt, handcrafted designs.
